What Critter Are You Based On How You Work?

Well hey there friend it’s been a hot second since I’ve shared on here hasn’t it? What a perfect time to jump on here again to wish you a Happy New Year!

I’m keeping busy with lots of ranch work, working on a book project (way to slowly as I fit it into the cracks of my life), leading youth group and starting an online community for rural, Christian women. (More on that next week.)

I also recently discovered iMovie on my phone. Watch out folks I’m having way to much fun with it! So I thought I’d share a little piece of our ranch life in blog posts this way.

This one is a quick shot of what we have been up to for the last two months.

We took in some feeder calves to background for someone plus our own replacement heifers.

So between feeding all the other livestock plus these we have our hands full.

Wanna know something? I absolutely love it!!

Taking care of animals is something God created me to do and I take the stewardship of them seriously.

Did you know that in 1870, almost 50 percent of the U.S. population was employed in agriculture. As of 2008, less than 2 percent of the population is directly employed in agriculture.

That is a big shift and I think it’s important for those of us in Ag to share our stories to help give a glimpse into our world. It’s important for people to know where our food comes from and how it gets to people.

So come join me over on YouTube for a little peek into what we do here. It will be the good, the bad and the ugly. I’ll try to share some here from time to time but will just play it by ear.

If you would, head over to subscribe over there and share any of them you like. It’s a work in progress for sure but would love your support.

Thanks so much!!

Alright, so tell me what are you most excited for in the new year?
